We have been visiting Russia several times a year since 2000 to distribute goods to the orphanages we are currently supporting, and to make contacts with other orphanages as we have been able to take on additional support. We also work with local pastors and churches in an effort to put and keep local spiritual support in place for each orphanage we work with. As of the summer of 2009, Seeds for the Harvest, as represented by Tim and Karen Mead, will be moving to Ivanovo, Russia to begin work as full-time associate pastors at the Ivanovo Christian Center.

We will be teaching, preaching, and reaching out ot the city of Ivanovo and beyond, both through the church and through our continued work with Seeds for the Harvest.

Our living and ministry expenses for the year total $20,500. This includes all of our housing, food, utilities, travel to/from Russia twice a year, travel within Russia, and the money to continue our work in the orphanages, TB home for children, drug rehab center for teens, childrens hospitals, etc... etc...

Karen will work in the local orphanages and TB home to help the children learn English. Karen completed her certification for teaching English as a foreign language with Cambridge University in 2005. She plans to spend 1 or 2 days a week at each location depending upon the desire of the locations director. Karen will be providing materials and resources to each location to support and enhance the classroom atmosphere.

We cannot do this on our own. It is only through the support of individuals, churches, and groups that we are able to collect the supplies and funding we need to provide for the needs of these children. If not for the support of others who share our vision, we would be able to do nothing.

We work to raise monetary contributions to help purchase necessary supplies in Russia (we buy the food we distribute locally while we are in Russia, as well as many of the specific needs items). Contributions are also needed to help send and support team members who will work in Russia to distribute the supplies and share the Love of God with the children and staff members of these institutions.

We are asking that you consider approaching your church or bible study about the possibility of sponsoring an orphanage with a donation of $150.00 per month.
